The Beta Lambda Educational Institute (BLEI), a 501c3 affiliate of Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was created in 1980 to promote the social, educational and cultural welfare of people in the Greater Kansas City area.  In particular those persons who are now or have been traditionally deprived or underprivileged.  Our mission includes conducting educational activities, that promote the welfare of the entire community.    BLEI, in conjunction with Beta Lambda Chapter members, annually conducts many community service efforts.
